I remember the first time I ever learned of Tristan Taormino – I was new to the world of sex toys – heck, the world of SEX in general. She’s been well known in the industry for years now, giving wonderful anal sex advice, hot porn movies, and superior butt plugs to the needy anal consumer. Ten years ago, the Tristan butt plug was released, and in honor of its ten year anniversary, it’s getting a face lift. Behold, Tristan’s Anniversary Edition plug, courtesy of Babeland.

What’s Not So Awesome? Nothing! This is an EXCELLENT plug

Tristan’s anniversary plug is a plug that is indeed worthy of celebration. Made of beautiful, pillow soft silicone from Vixen creations (note, not vixskin!), marbled with beautiful blue and black swirls, this plug is even a pleasure just to hold in hand. Featuring a bulbous head and slightly tapered LONG neck, the Tristan is probably the most comfortable plug I’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing. This is the sort of plug that will happily go out and about with you for errands – the long neck ensuring that while it gets a bit of freedom to move, it will stay in place. The base is crafted specifically to be comfortable for long term wear, nestling happily in between butt cheeks when the plug is nestled in place.

The design of this plug is great, but you know, it’s the size that really sells me. The bump of the head is 1.75” in diameter, which is a little heftier than the original Tristan (and general standard buttplug norm) at 1.5”. I have found that there aren’t too many buttplugs that rock this diameter, thus I am overjoyed to have this one to play with. Despite its width, the plug is squishy, so it is fairly easy to work into place, although one would do well to have a little warm-up first – perhaps a finger or two.

During sex, the Tristan Anniversary plug stayed put despite some complex bedroom acrobatics. I did find that it needed to be nudged back in place during some of the rumbling coursing through me as my orgasms built up, and it definitely popped free as I came – but that’s how I work, so I wasn’t too surprised. When in place for an orgasm – oh my was the Tristan Anniversary plug ever fabulous. I’m not sure I’ve ever enjoyed a plug quite as much as I enjoyed this one during orgasm, which is saying a lot.

I’ve never written about my favorite go-to plugs, but the Tristan Anniversary plug just rocketed to the top of my list. Highly recommended.

(Note, for the slightly less anally experienced, the original Tristan plug probably kicks about as much ass, but doesn’t require quite as much stretching).
