Satin Pink Brocade Corset

It’s no secret that I review sex toys and such for Eden Fantasys, right? Along with oodles of sex toys, Eden Fantasys carries a large selection of sexy lingerie, including the Satin Pink Brocade Corset, which I decided tickled my fancy will enough to warrant a review.

In A Nutshell: A pretty pink corset that really does a good job of slimming.

What’s Awesome? Excellent construction, and smart design choices to help it hug and enhance natural curves.

What’s Not So Awesome? The bendy plastic boning is a bit of a bummer.

The Satin Pink Brocade Corset is beautiful. The body of it is a light bubblegum candy pink, with trim and cinching ribbon in a brighter, pinker blush. The body of the corset is decorated with delicate pink flowers – they speckle all about the lacing, and run up the side of the bust. Sadly, however, this corset is not as sturdy as I had hoped – the boning is done in flexible plastic, so while it does cinch and shape at the waist, it eventually takes on a few bends and kinks at its waist. After approximately four hours of wear on two different occasions, I removed the corset to find permanent bends in the bones at exactly my waistline on the side of the corset. While this is unfortunate, it’s not too surprising given that this corset is well below the standard price point for a very sturdy metal boned corset.

Plastic bones aside, the corset is otherwise well constructed. The busk is the standard metal variety, and the eyelets at the back are affixed very securely between two bones. There has been no signs of fraying or stress anywhere on this corset, despite some fairly active wear time and tight cinching. I particularly like the way the bust is constructed on the corset – there are boning “darts” that introduce an extra triangle of material at the best, allowing it to pop out and proud instead of being flattened and squeezed up as corsets are typically wont to do.

Shape wise, the corset is quite lovely. The back cinches asymmetrically along the length – by this, I mean that the eyelets get closer together at the natural waist, and the natural waist is the tug point. This is a fantastic feature as it allows the corset to mold to the proper contours of the body, not to make the contours mold to the corset. My curves certainly appreciated being treated so nicely. The front of the corset V’s down, providing a nice long line that gives the torso the appearance of more length. Unfortunately, I am not a complete skinny mini, so the corollary to this long line is that the sides scoop up somewhat, giving me a bit of a muffin top during fairly active wear. But, I like my curves, so this doesn’t really bother me too much, and besides, it could easily be dressed properly with a pair of high waisted boy short panties or a teeny tiny g string, depending on the look one was going for.

Overall, a lovely addiction to my lingerie drawer and a KILLER addition to my toy bag. Why do I say that? Well, pink is such a disarming color. I like the juxtaposition of wearing such an innocent color while doing deliciously mean things to a willing victim. There’s nothing more pleasing that the confused look I get when strutting about in pink heels and a pink corset while brandishing a tool of sadistic delights. Now all I have to do is work on keeping a straight face as I bat my eyelashes and proclaim that I am gentile and innocent. I like challenging standard preconceptions – and besides, dungeons are filled with just way to much black, anyways.
