Kinklab Wartenberg Pinwheel With Leather Sheath
In A Nutshell: Pinwheels provide a unique and fun sensation – not necessarily painful, not necessarily tickly, but both at the same time. This is a nice addition to a back rub/scratching (seriously!)
What’s Awesome? Wartenberg wheels come from the medical world, so they’re pretty well put together. This one comes with a leather sheath, which is very nice, because a loose wartenberg in a toy bag can mean chaos. The sheath is a very nice touch.
What’s Not So Awesome? Wartenberg wheels can be a bit too sharp when applied with too much pressure – a light and controlled hand is necessary.

Folks, lets talk about Wartenberg Wheels.
Wartenberg Pinwheels, so named because there were invented by a Dr. of the same name, were originally intended as a medical device for testing the nerve reactions of skin. Obviously this makes the toy a no brainer for medical fetishists, but there is an easy universal appeal to the concept of testing “nerve reactions of skin”. Basically, anyone who digs a nice scalp scratch, light fingernails gliding along the back, or even light touches on the forearm will like the sensations given by the Wartenberg wheel.
I like to pull out the Wartenberg for more “involved” back massages. When my hands ache for a break from needing, I transition to different sensations, like the Wartenberg. I challenge you to find someone who won’t smile shiver uncontrollably when a Wartenberg wheel is lightly run along their freshly massaged and oh-so-relaxed spine.
The Wartenberg, of course, has a potentially darker side. The pins in the wheel aren’t sharp enough to puncture skin – unless significant pressure is used. However, it sure feels like it’s splitting skin long before that threshold is reached. Shivers become quivers become trembles as pressure is upped with the Wartenberg – it doesn’t take much to get a lot of effect. And if you want to play a little bit of tickle torment, run it over the soles of the feet…
The Wartenberg is all metal, which is cool, because it can be boiled for sterilization if you wish to use it on pink bits – and really, truly, you should. Often. And it tucks neatly into it’s leather sheath so it won’t poke you as you grope in your toy drawer in the dark.
The Kinklab wartenberg pinwheel with leather sheath is a great addition to your collection of sensation toys, and can be found over at SexToy.com, along with other BDSM and Fetish Sex Toys.

I’ve browsed over this toy numerous times… though I may have to give it a try now.
