We all know about the “Sex In The City” episode where Charlotte falls deeply in lust with her Rabbit, right? Well, that rabbit is often credited as being this rabbit – the Vibratex Rabbit Pearl. The original, and often replicated, pink smiley little rabbit vibrator with a big ass external battery pack. Vibrator.com was kind enough to send me one in exchange for review, and quite honestly, I did jump at the chance to test out this vibration sensation. After all, something that is as famous and as mimicked…must be good. Right?

Oh yes…oh yes indeed.

In A Nutshell: A basic rabbit design with a rotating shaft (with pearls!) and a vibrating rabbit clit stimulator.

What’s Not So awesome? Well, it cannot be sanitized to share, because its made of elastomer. But really, it seems to me that no one has figured out how to make silicone good for rabbit vibes anyways. And it takes three C cells, which is a bit retro.

Lets just get straight into the awesomeness. So, the little rabbit on this toy? Yeah, it can bend back from the shaft an impressive amount. This means that I can insert the toy, then pull it upwards and the rabbit slides home exactly onto my clit. I really like the rabbit’s nose for my clit, but the ears stretch up far, giving light clit tickles even when the shaft is pulled out somewhat, or if the toy is angled down for emphasis of the rotation on the g-spot. Brilliance. Additionally, the shafts rotation is really noticeable – its pearls provide texture and stimulation around the vaginal entrance, and the head swoops back and forth across the front of the vaginal wall (and hopefully gspot) with ease. It’s simple compared to so many other rabbits on the market, but this little guy is the industry standard for a reason. And you know, I really really like that the battery pack is separate – it reduces the weight of the toy, and makes it so easy to play with.

The battery pack takes three C cells, which Vibrator.com included (classy!) in the package, and also houses the controls. The rotation and the vibration are both controlled by sliders that actually do seem to give a continuum of intensity – low to high. Potency wise, the vibrations are pretty decent – more than one would generally expect from a rabbit vibe, and the rotation is surprisingly rapid – in fact, I prefer to use it in about the center of its scale. And, amazingly enough, my muscles don’t kill the rotation when I bear down, and the noise level? Easily muted by covers and a closed door.

You know, I considered giving this toy a 4 out of 5, just because it cannot be sanitized – but screw that, the elastomer is so supple and stretchy I doubt silicone could ever match its awesomeness. Elastomer IS body safe (phthalate free) and compatible with silicone and water based lubes, which is nice, and frankly, I’ve disliked every one of the rabbit vibrators I’ve ever used except this one, so you know what? It gets a 5 out of 5.

Why? Because in a nutshell, It makes me come and come and come again – without fail.
