Stuff: Non-De-Plume, Pleasurists
Pleasurists:
Hey, so those who read me for adult product reviews should check out the Pleasurists, a weekly round-up of adult product reviews from the blog-o-sphere. Yes, I *do* get that I can put my reviews in the list if I want, but I’m a tad loathe to add weekly roundups to my must-post list. My readers deserve to see more hotness when they come to my blog – I’d hate to dilute my few-and-far-between sexy posts with more “stuff”. Like always, I wish I could spend more time writing and posting so that these things wouldn’t be a problem. But, that’s not in the cards for now.
So anyways, do check out the pleasurists, and bookmark it, because it is a great resource.
Oh and also, in honour of whoring myself out, I’ll encourage my readers to nominate me for the list of best sex toy reviewers of 2008. Or nominate someone else deserving – I recommend Shasta Gibson and Curvaceous Dee, but it’s really up to you.
Nom-De-Plume:
I am going to have business cards made, and I need a name to put on them. I’ve been trying to make peace with using “Red” as a psudeonym, but I don’t want just one name (certainly if it’s “Red”….good god, talk about something screaming “Tool!”) so I really need a fake last name. My email accounts and such all say “Red Sneaker” but really, that’s not a name. I – for the life of me – can’t think of anything. I am pretty close to choosing a common last name (a mini hommage to Ms. Shasta Gibson, the former Stiletto Girl), but I can’t decide what sounds reasonable – names that feature Red as a first name sound masculine. Maybe I’ll do something with the initials R.E.D?
So please give me your thoughts, dear readers, on the following free-flowing brainstom list of names…
Red
Red Sneaker
Red….Smith, Stewart, Scott, Sanders, Stevens, Sullivan, Stone, Sanchez…. Blerg, those all sound like shite
Ruby E. Dee (hahhaha ‘ED’)
Ruby E. Douglas, Donnelly, Devon….whatever
Rosalyn Eleanor Davis (current favorite)
Rose Ellen Devine
Rosa
Damnit, I hate this sort of stuff…

First, thanks for the plug
I was quite thrilled by the mention here.
As for the name thing, I don’t know if you were reading then, but I had to do the ‘reinvention’ thing some time back. When I created my site I started using Stiletto Girl, since I couldn’t think of anything better, but when it came to using that for other publications or some interviews I did, it seemed…lame, or childish. Coming up with something new was a royal pain, so I feel your frustration.
I like Red Hues too actually, that’s cute, and witty.
Good luck with the new name!
XO
Shasta

What about considering “Red” as a last name? Then you could just use a title.
Ms Red
Countess Red
Mistress Red
Miss Red
Ophelia Red
Or keeping with it as a first name…
Red Shine
Red Storm
Also, what’s your lineage? You could research names that would fit your heritage. Google “royal names” finds a few interesting lists.
Cheers!

There are some good suggestions here – and I am now leaning towards Red as a last name – just way to masculine as a first name.
Maybe “Mary Red”
I did like the Anastasia one…
Simple ya?

Well, it has to be Anna Red then
It would be HC as in “Historically Correct”
if she does not mind obviously…
But I also like Red Hues
Anyway, keep writing and Happy New Year from Down Under
