One of the negatives I have found in doing sex toy reviews is that I have to turn over a toy rather quickly – bust out a review in the early stages of my relationship with said toy. So now how wonderful are good folks at Lelo who have been patiently waiting for me to review the Gigi vibe for ages? What can I say – I have been caught up in a whirlwind love affair with my Gigi, the rest of the world just stopped existing for a bit…

What’s Not So Awesome: There are no negatives to this toy. It is perfect. You should get one immediately, it will make your life better. I’m not being a jackass here, it’s the honest truth.

The Gigi is an unassuming, non-threatening vibrator. Touted as a superior g-spot vibrator (and it certainly is), the Gigi excels in all departments, grabbing orgasms from uncertain and picky clits with deft ease, before slipping inside to bring the user to a toe curling g-spot orgasm. She holds her charge nicely as well, maintaining a high level of intensity for a surprisingly long time. When her battery finally dies, Gigi just stops quickly and suddenly, a sharp contrast to the long slow death suffered by regular batteries when in toys.

The insertable, vibrating end of the Gigi is made of high quality silicone that is fused to the hard plastic-motor-and-battery containing base. The seam between these materials is very fine, but it is a seam, so when washing the Gigi make sure to inspect the area to make sure it’s clean as a whistle. Gigi can thus be sterilized if you hold the silicone end (with tongs, naturally) very carefully into a pot of boiling water for three minutes. Or just put it in a condom if you want to share it. Of course, don’t insert it anally, but enjoy doing anything else you can dream up with it.

Gigi’s vibrations are controlled via a small dial in the plastic base. The controls are simple – left and right cycle up and down in intensity, and the up and down arrows scroll through the pulsation patterns. Gigi is nice as a clitoral vibrator, her curve allowing the wrist in use to adopt a relaxed and easy posture. Her end is wide and flat, so vibrates a large area when pressed into flesh. I find this exceedingly pleasant on my clit and also all over my inner and outer labia, and when I go after an orgasm, I get it, quickly, without having to move my wrist much in the process.
